Surveillance:  

 

Types of surveillance (mobile, discreet, fixed, technical, cold delivery vs. controlled delivery)

Surveillance phases (pickup, follow, and housing).

Urban and rural, foot, mobile & static surveillance methods (map reading, use of cover, switched on/switched off, use of vehicles, dress and mannerisms).

Recognizing surveillance vantage points, choke points and weaknesses of routes and installations.

Controlled visits at various sites (periods of time, controlling the site, controlled visit)

Surveillance driving.

Driving patterns in convert operations.

Team dynamics (team work, duties of individual team members, coordination).

Night surveillance.

 

Counter-Surveillance:

  

Use of cover.

Covert and overt counter surveillance and surveillance deterrence.

Losing surveillance by foot or vehicle.

Counter surveillance routes.

 

Surveillance Detection:

  

Israeli method of surveillance detection.

Surveillance detection and deception skill.

Recognizing surveillance teams.

 

Technical Surveillance & Technical Surveillance Countermeasures:

 

Use of technical surveillance tools such as:  Eavesdropping devices, body cameras, Digital video recorders, Audio, video, wire-tapping, binoculars, recorders, and other counter electronic surveillance devices. This additional skill set can be a wealth of information.

Operation center (establishing and running).

Reconnaissance & intelligence:

Intelligence gathering.

Procedures when working with informants.

Advance work, reconnaissance and counter surveillance.

Reconnaissance measures (pre and post, covert/open, stationary/mobile).

Forms of reconnaissance (route, installation and area).

Operations Planning:

Criteria for the selection of accommodation, venues, means of transport and routes.

Flow chart, color system, recording machine, optical means and computers as support.

Operational plan (purpose, elements and writing the operation plan).

Logistics, Staff, Equipment & transportation.

Permanent and temporary installations.

   

Briefing:

Purpose and aim of operation planning.

Operation briefing (introduction of the team and establishing readiness).

Planning and executing counter surveillance operations.

Communication & equipment.

Transportation.

   

Execution:

Command center control.

Electronic recording and GPS monitoring.

Establishing a detail security procedures (standard, emergency).

Back up plans and escape procedures.

   

Debrief & actionable intelligence:

Using daily logs and detection matrixes.

Exercises in functioning as "terrorists" performing surveillance.

Accomplice and support network.

Deception by terrorists while gathering intelligence.

Cultural Debriefing and Understanding:  

 

Overt and covert operations for anti crime/terrorism.

How and when to use/not use translators.

Traffic flow analysis & driving patterns in convert operations.

Procedures when working with informants.

Cultural analysis & dress codes.

Language pattern analysis.

Loyalties to groups.

Development of association matrixes.

Overt and covert collection of information.

    

Countering Threats & Terrorists Tactics:

  

Use of car bombs.

Detecting car bombs, VBIED’s & IED’s.

Detecting suicide bombers.

Various terrorist ambush methods. 

Detecting heat signatures of explosives (night).

Functioning in abduction situations.

Countering enemy snipers and sharpshooters.

Protection from and functioning under Molotov cocktail attacks.

Case studies on terrorist tactics from Israel.

   


   

Student-Provided Recommended Equipment:  Notebook, pen and pencil, sunscreen, hydration system, shooting glasses, ear protection, appropriate clothing for seasonal inclement weather (hot, cold, rain or snow), weapons cleaning kit, (knit cap and brimmed) hat, knee and elbow pads, hiking or tactical boots, pants with cargo pockets, shooting gloves, tinted glasses, multi tool, range bag, and thumb drive for class photos. 

  

Weapons:  C.R.I. does have a limited number of weapons, (i.e. Glock 17, AR-15 & AK-47) available to be reserved on a first come, first register basis, to prospective students.

  

Ammunition:  Students must provide 200 rounds of 9mm, 200 rounds of 223 and 60 rounds of 7.62.  This can also be purchased from CRI at our cost, or shipped to us prior.

     

Prerequisites that must be completed PRIOR to beginning the Training Course: Due to the extensive nature of the training during our courses, a background investigation will be conducted.  90% of all applicants are accepted.  You will need to provide some form of criminal records - non felony conviction proof, such as a state issued C.C.W. card, weapon registration card, state background check, or DD-214, vetting you.  Persons who are convicted felons, have a documented history of mental illness, need not apply. C.R.I. reserves the right to adjust or change curriculum, dependant on time or student comprehension.  Post 20% of the course start, there are NO refunds.
