Duration:  5 days

Course Summary:  This is a basic to intermediate skill level course designed for the armed professional engaged in work in High Risks Zones. This course is designed for those serving on corporate executive protection details in high threat international assignments, law enforcement personnel serving on protection details, and individual security contractors conducting high-threat international protective security operations.  It is also designed to prep you for State Dept WPPS training, and works with you on everything from putting your resume together to complex formations, defensive tactics, pistol and rifle shooting, tactical driving and medical skills, and is fast paced, up to 10 hour days.

Introduction to High Risk Operator Close Protection work

Organization of Protective Security Details & PSD Formations

PSD (Protective Security Detail) role against insurgents

Movements and footwork for individual and team positions

Arcs of responsibility and tasks for each member of the team for 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 person teams

Counter action drills for 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 person teams

Walking drills, low & high profile operations

Defensive Tactics:

 

Tactical thinking, weapons retention and disarmament

Fighting in a professional and devastating way to an aggressor

Countering joint locks, grabs, punches, kicks and choking

Ground fighting and countering Brazilian Jui Jit Su

"Trick" fighting tactics and also how to counter them

Correct timing in a street confrontation 

Surviving attacks from Multiple attackers

Countering attacks with broken bottles, chains, batons, tire iron, etc.

Dealing with attacks involving axes, ropes for strangulation, etc.

Surviving in a vehicle surrounded by 3 to 4 armed hostile captors

Individual to 12-man team deployment during entries

Student-Provided Recommended Equipment:  Notebook, pen and pencil, sunscreen, hydration system, shooting glasses, ear protection, appropriate clothing for seasonal inclement weather (hot, cold, rain or snow), weapons cleaning kit, (knit cap and brimmed) hat, knee and elbow pads, hiking or tactical boots, pants with cargo pockets, shooting gloves, tinted glasses, multi tool, range bag, and thumb drive for class photos. 

  

Weapons:  C.R.I. does have a limited number of weapons, (i.e. Glock 17, AR-15 & AK-47) available to be reserved on a first come, first register basis, to prospective students.

  

Ammunition:  Students must provide 200 rounds of 9mm, 200 rounds of 223 and 60 rounds of 7.62.  This can also be purchased from CRI at our cost, or shipped to us prior.

     

Prerequisites that must be completed PRIOR to beginning the Training Course: Due to the extensive nature of the training during our courses, a background investigation will be conducted.  90% of all applicants are accepted.  You will need to provide some form of criminal records - non felony conviction proof, such as a state issued C.C.W. card, weapon registration card, state background check, or DD-214, vetting you.  Persons who are convicted felons, have a documented history of mental illness, need not apply. C.R.I. reserves the right to adjust or change curriculum, dependant on time or student comprehension.  Post 20% of the course start, there are NO refunds.
