Course Summary:  Counter-Guerrilla Warfare Course & Force Protection Training. This course will develop the participants as team members, as well as individuals, in force protection and countering guerrilla warfare.

Surveillance:  

 

Types of surveillance (mobile, discreet, fixed, technical, cold delivery vs. controlled delivery)

Surveillance phases (pickup, follow, housing)

Urban and rural, foot, mobile & static surveillance methods (map reading, use of cover, switched on/switched off, use of vehicles, dress and mannerisms)

Recognizing surveillance vantage points, choke points and weaknesses of routes and installations

Controlled visits at various sites (periods of time, controlling the site, controlled visit)

Surveillance driving

Driving patterns in convert operations

Team dynamics (team work, duties of individual team members, coordination)

Night surveillance

    

Counter-Surveillance:

Covert and overt counter surveillance and surveillance deterrence

Losing surveillance by foot or vehicle

Intermediate Israeli Driving – no contact:

   

Vehicle selection, modification and emergency procedures

Evasive maneuvers -- forward 180 degree turns (bootlegs), and reverse 180 degree turns (J-turns)

Reverse 270 developed exclusively by CRI as an effective technique for countering ambushes

High speed vehicle maneuvers, braking techniques and skid control maneuvers

Understanding over/under steering a vehicle 

Maneuvering a vehicle through a realistic obstacle course during an emergency situation

Emergency braking and turns

Correct escaping maneuvers       

Taking control of the vehicle after the driver has been immobilized

Handling the vehicle in an obstacle course

Split-second decision making drills

Handling multiple vehicles that are attempting to force the vehicle off road

Escaping using a vehicle during a high speed pursuit without losing control of the vehicle

Crossing fences and other obstacles

Deceptive approach while escaping

Working in completely dark environments

Correct movement in various terrain types (forest, desert, swamp, mountain, snow, water, etc..)

Sabotage techniques in order to prevent enemy pursuit

Counter car-jacking & commandeering a vehicle while escaping

Starting a vehicle without a key

Physical attack while seated in a vehicle

Management of team hostages in order to escape successfully

Taking down enemy guards

Booby trapping an area for deception while escaping

Recognizing various types of explosives and devices

Manipulating electricity and other technologies against captors

Deceptive views of enemy transportation infrastructure

Multiple firearm disarmament when threatened by more than one captor

Escaping tactics in severe situations when convoy has been destroyed by the enemy

Deceptive communication techniques with other hostages

Knife throwing techniques

Professional knife throwing and disarmament during beheading attempt

Handling expert and severe brutal knife attacks from multiple attackers

Functioning under extreme stress

Fighting effectively after being partially immobilized or wounded

Dynamic drills using handguns and assault rifle (if using handguns)

Tactically moving within a crowd & engaging various targets

Using cover while shooting:  left, right, above, below

Corridor movement, Stairwell movement and shooting & clearing

Student-Provided Recommended Equipment:  Notebook, pen and pencil, sunscreen, hydration system, shooting glasses, ear protection, appropriate clothing for seasonal inclement weather (hot, cold, rain or snow), weapons cleaning kit, (knit cap and brimmed) hat, knee and elbow pads, hiking or tactical boots, pants with cargo pockets, shooting gloves, tinted glasses, multi tool, range bag, and thumb drive for class photos.  (No camouflaged clothing please.)

 

Provided by CRI:  Course materials, weapons (when part of the course - Glock 17 & AR-15), meals during training, ear and eye protection, soft body armor, knee and elbow pads, holsters.

 

Ammunition:  Students must provide all ammunition needed for the course (9mm, 223 and 7.62x39).  This can also be purchased from CRI at our wholesale cost or shipped to us prior to the course.

 

Prerequisites that must be completed PRIOR to beginning the Training Course: Due to the extensive nature of the training during this course, a thorough background investigation will be conducted on all persons registering.  CRI School reserves the right to require any trainee to undergo a polygraph test administered by CRI regarding any possible affiliation to a terrorist and or criminal organization. Persons who are convicted felons, have a documented history of mental illness, or have been convicted of domestic violence crimes (misdemeanor or felony) need not apply.
